Still A Few Hundred Homes Without Power

Hydro One has been making good progress on restoring electricity to homes in the Kenora area.

As of this morning, there are still about 300 customers without power, down from 15 hundred yesterday.

Nancy Clark is a Hydro spokesperson and says they have been focussing on areas with the largest number of homes and then working towards some of the smaller outages.

"We need to restore power to the main lines before we restore power to the local, smaller lines.  So we aim for the critical emergency services first, the largest lines that are affected and then we move to some of these outages we're into now".

Of the remaining homes still without power, many aren't expected to have their electricity restored until tomorrow night.
