The cost of policing the City of Kenora is expected to go up next year.
Initial figures posted by the OPP show the budget for the Kenora Detachment will be about 5.7 million dollars in 2018, up about 45 thousand dollars from last year.
Acting inspector Shaun Crabbe says the increase is really the result of more calls for service.
The City's police costs have decreased about a million dollars in the last six years.
This would be the first increase since 2015.
