The OPP have released the numbers for their Festive RIDE Campaign.
The campaign ran from November 24th 2017 to January 2nd 2018.
Across the province 587 drivers were charged with impaired driving with an additional 366 drivers having their license's suspended.
Numbers were down from the previous year as the OPP charged 623 impaired drivers and suspended 407 licenses during the 2016-2017 RIDE campaign.
Officers conducted more than 9 thousand RIDE events throughout the province, surpassing the over 7 thousand RIDE events conducted over the previous season's campaign.
Of the 587 drivers charged, 29 were charged with drug impairment.
