Wanted Man Apprehended Between Dryden and Ignace

Ontario Provincial Police from Ignace and Dryden have arrested a 37-year-old man who is wanted for bank robberies and parole violations.

Police say they were advised a wanted man could be going through our area and spotted the suspect's vehicle at about 10 this morning, on Highway 17 westbound through Ignace.

Officers deployed a tire deflation device to stop the vehicle in the Zealand Township west of Dryden.

37-year-old Jeffery Gorsline was arrested on several outstanding warrants by Niagara Regional Police Service, Halton Regional Police Service, Fredericton, Truro and Halifax Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

This investigation was a combined effort of the Ignace and Dryden Ontario Provincial Police detachments, Northwest Region Crime Unit, Northwest Region Emergency Response Team and Dryden Police Service members.
